Ambra is Acqua di Parma's amber, and it behaves differently from most. Rather than opening sweet, it starts on the house citrus — orange, bergamot and petitgrain — then works down through rose, nagarmotha, cedarwood and patchouli into a base of ambergris, sandalwood, labdanum, vanilla and musk. The citrus keeps the top bright while the base does the heavy lifting, so it reads as warm and expensive rather than syrupy.

This is an evening and cold-weather fragrance. It is Eau de Parfum strength, so unlike the Colonia line it will hold through a full night and project properly. Wear it to dinners, weddings and winter occasions.
