Bergamotto di Calabria is the Blu Mediterraneo built around one ingredient: Calabrian bergamot, the DOP-protected citrus grown on the Ionian coast that most of the perfume industry depends on. Here it is the whole point rather than a supporting note. It opens sharp and green with bergamot and citron, moves through cedarwood and red ginger, and finishes dry on vetiver, benzoin and musk. It is citrus that ends up woody rather than sweet, which is what keeps it wearable past the first twenty minutes.

This is one of the better fragrances in the catalogue for Indian weather. It is light, low on sweetness and has nothing heavy in the base, so it holds up in heat and humidity where richer scents turn cloying. Wear it to the office, on weekends, and on travel days.
