Yuzu is the brightest fragrance in the Signatures of the Sun line and the one that translates best to Indian weather. It opens on Japanese yuzu — sharper and more bitter than lemon — with bergamot and a lick of Sichuan pepper, then softens through lotus, mimosa, violet leaves and jasmine before finishing on musk, liquorice and sandalwood. The liquorice is the surprise: it gives the drydown a slightly sweet, anise-like edge that keeps it from being just another citrus.

Because this is Eau de Parfum rather than cologne, it lasts properly while still smelling light. That combination is rare and it is the reason to choose Yuzu over a Blu Mediterraneo if you want freshness that survives a full day in the heat.
