Alexandre.J Black Beetle is a bold, glossy-sweet niche fragrance wrapped around something darker and resinous, one of the more deliberately odd, conversation-starting scents on any shelf. It opens with juicy raspberry, bergamot and a curl of frankincense, moves into a spiced heart of patchouli and red chilli pepper, and dries down to warm woods and musk. Fruity and sweet up top, smoky and spicy underneath, housed in one of the most striking bottles around.
