Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme is an aromatic aquatic Eau de Toilette and one of the more distinctive marine fragrances of its generation, because it uses real seaweed rather than the usual generic sea accord. Mandarin, orange and petitgrain open it bright and slightly bitter, Posidonia seaweed with lavender and cotton flower gives the heart a green, saline character, and Virginia cedar, patchouli, clary sage and amber ground it in dry minerals. Jacques Cavallier created it in 2005.

This is a warm-weather and daytime fragrance that suits office wear, travel and Indian summer particularly well. It reads clean and unisex rather than aggressively masculine. One caveat worth knowing: performance is modest, so expect a fresh scent that stays close rather than one that fills a room.
