Calvin Klein CK One Shock For Him is a sweet, dark, slightly fizzy fragrance that has built a long-running reputation as one of the best-value men's scents in India. It opens oddly and deliberately so — cucumber, clementine and an accord meant to evoke an energy drink — then moves into cardamom, black pepper, basil and osmanthus, before settling into the part everyone remembers: tobacco, amber, patchouli and musk. Launched in 2011, it sounds nothing like the minimal original CK One and that is the point.

This is a night-out fragrance. Parties, clubs, cold-weather evenings. It projects well for its price and the tobacco-amber base draws compliments consistently. The 200ml is the size worth buying if you already know you like it — it is roughly a third cheaper per ml than the 100ml, and this is not a scent people use sparingly.
