French Avenue Liquid Brun is a sweet, woody gourmand often compared to Parfums de Marly Althair, warm, creamy and easy to love. It opens with cinnamon, cardamom, orange blossom and bergamot, moves into a heart of rich bourbon vanilla and elemi, and dries down to a praline-and-wood base of ambroxan, guaiac wood and musk. It smells lightly spicy up top, then like warm vanilla custard, then sweet and woody, something you almost want to eat.

This is a fragrance for cool evenings, date nights and winter wear, a crowd-pleaser with strong compliment-getting potential. It projects well and lasts a very long time, offering big value for a rich, niche-style vanilla.
