Byerley is the restrained one in the Parfums de Marly men's line — a woody-spicy built on vetiver rather than the sweet, high-projection style the house is better known for. It opens on bergamot and cardamom, moves into a heart of cedar and guaiac wood, and finishes on vetiver and resins. The guaiac gives it a faint smokiness and the vetiver keeps it dry and earthy, so the overall impression is clean woods with a little smoke rather than anything sugary.

It is versatile across seasons and leans formal — the office, meetings, evenings. Eau de Parfum concentration with solid longevity, but moderate projection: this is a fragrance you wear for yourself rather than one that fills a room.
