Prada Paradoxe is a modern white-floral amber built around neroli and jasmine sambac, launched in 2022 and now one of Prada's best-known women's fragrances. Bergamot opens it bright, the heart layers neroli essence, neroli bud and Tunisian orange flower absolute with jasmine sambac, and the base is where it turns soft and lasting: an amber accord with Laos benzoin, Madagascar bourbon vanilla and white musk. It smells clean and expensive rather than sweet.

This is a genuinely versatile fragrance — office, daytime, dinners, year-round — which is unusual for something at this level. It sits closer to the skin than a gourmand and rarely overwhelms a room, so it works in Indian heat where heavier scents turn cloying. The triangular bottle is refillable, and Prada sells 100ml refills for it, which brings the cost per ml down considerably over time.

How is this different from Radical Essence?

Paradoxe is the original — floral, ambery and easy to wear every day. Radical Essence is the most concentrated version in the line and takes it somewhere else entirely, built around a salted pistachio accord. If you want the signature Paradoxe scent, this is it.

Is this fragrance right for you?

If you want an elegant, clean floral that works from a morning meeting through to dinner and does not shout, Paradoxe is one of the safest choices at this price. If you want a sweet gourmand or something with heavy projection, this will feel too restrained.
