Roja Parfums Elysium Pour Homme

Roja Elysium Pour Homme is the fragrance that made Roja Dove a household name outside the niche world. A bright, almost fizzy opening of grapefruit, lemon, lime and blackcurrant leaf settles into aromatic lavender, juniper and cypress, then dries down over a salty-warm base of ambergris, oakmoss and musk. It reads as expensive immediately, which is why it is so often compared to Creed Aventus, though Elysium is cleaner, drier and more citrus-forward.

This is the easiest Roja to wear and the one to start with. It suits office days, daytime events, travel and warm weather, and it holds up in Indian heat where heavier scents collapse. Projection is strong and longevity is long, so two or three sprays are enough.

A note on the name: Roja has retired the "Parfum Cologne" concentration label. This 100ml bottle is the same fragrance that was sold for years as Elysium Pour Homme Parfum Cologne, now simply called Eau de Parfum. It is not the 50ml Elysium Parfum, which is a separate, stronger and considerably more expensive product.

If you already have Elysium and want it darker for evenings, choose Elysium Noir; if you want the same freshness turned up, choose Elysium Eau Intense. If you prefer sweet, gourmand or oud-heavy scents, Elysium will feel too clean and too dry.
