The PR516 goes back to 1960s motorsport, and the modern chronograph keeps the cushion case, the pump pushers and the crown shape from the original. This is the full rose gold PVD version: case, bezel and bracelet all coated, with rose gold hands and indexes against a black dial.

The bezel carries both a tachymeter and a pulsometer scale, printed with luminous markings. The Swiss quartz chronograph runs a 30-minute counter, a 1/10-second counter and a central chronograph hand with ADD and SPLIT functions, and the bracelet uses a quick-release system.

Who is it for?

A full rose gold chronograph at 40mm is a statement piece rather than a daily driver, and it works best on someone who already owns a plain steel watch. The 1970s cushion case keeps it from reading as costume jewellery. On water resistance, 100m suits daily wear and swimming, but PVD coatings scuff, so keep it off abrasive surfaces.
