The PR516 goes back to 1960s motorsport, and the modern chronograph keeps the cushion case, the pump pushers and the crown shape from the original. This is the bicolour version: brushed steel with yellow gold PVD on the bezel and bracelet centre links, gold hands and indexes on a black dial.

The bezel carries both a tachymeter and a pulsometer scale, printed with luminous markings. The Swiss quartz chronograph runs a 30-minute counter, a 1/10-second counter and a central chronograph hand with ADD and SPLIT functions, and the bracelet uses a quick-release system.

Who is it for?

Bicolour is the easier way into a gold chronograph: the steel keeps it grounded while the gold does the dressing up. It sits well against gold jewellery and reads correctly at weddings and evening events. On water resistance, 100m suits daily wear and swimming, but PVD coatings scuff, so keep it off abrasive surfaces.
