The Seastar 1000 Chronograph in blue is the version most people picture when they think of this watch. A 45.5mm steel case, a black unidirectional dive bezel, and a blue-to-black gradient dial with three sub-registers. Water resistance is 300m with a screw-down crown, which is a genuine diving rating rather than a marketing one.

The Swiss quartz chronograph gives you a 30-minute counter, a 1/10-second counter and a central chronograph hand, plus ADD and SPLIT timing. Hands and markers carry Super-LumiNova, and the bracelet has a folding clasp with a diver's extension.

Who is it for?

This is for a larger wrist and someone who wants the dive-watch look with real capability behind it. Blue is the easiest of the three dials to wear daily. Check the wrist measurement before buying: 45.5mm across with 22mm lugs is a lot of watch and it will overhang a wrist under about 17cm.
