Tom Ford's Oud Wood Hand and Body Moisturizer carries the Private Blend fragrance into a lightweight crème — rosewood and cardamom over smoky oud, sandalwood and vetiver, with tonka bean and amber warming the finish. It smells like the Eau de Parfum, worn closer to the skin.

It is built to be used on hands as much as body: smooth in after washing or after hand sanitiser, or massage over skin after a shower. The formula is light rather than heavy — camelina and meadowfoam seed oils, sunflower seed oil, vitamin E, sodium hyaluronate and glycerin — so it absorbs without leaving a film, which matters in Indian humidity.

Wear it under the Oud Wood Eau de Parfum to make the fragrance last considerably longer, or on its own when you want the scent quietly present rather than projecting.

Is this right for you?

If you already wear Oud Wood and want it to last longer, layering the moisturiser underneath is the most effective way to do it — scented skin holds fragrance far better than dry skin. It is also a good way to wear Oud Wood in hot weather, when a full spray of the Eau de Parfum can be too much. It is a light crème, not a rich body butter, so if you want heavy hydration this is not that.
