Bibliothèque began as Byredo's most popular candle, and was released as a fragrance only because customers kept asking. It is the smell of old books — leather-bound pages on dark wood shelves, a room suspended in time. It opens on plum and cinnamon, moves through a leather accord and violet, and settles on birch woods, patchouli and vanilla.

Rich, dusty and nostalgic, it is the most atmospheric fragrance the house makes and the clearest expression of the dark-academia idea. Best in autumn and winter evenings. Genderless by design, like everything Byredo makes.

Is this fragrance right for you?

If you want the least common and most atmospheric Byredo, this is it — and one of the better performers in the range, with real depth from the leather and vanilla. It is warm and slightly heavy by design, so it will feel like too much in peak Indian summer. Save it for cooler air and evenings.

How do I know it's original?

Why is the price lower than I see elsewhere in India?

Because you're paying the global price, not the India markup. It's the same bottle and the same formula sold worldwide, without the local premium added on top.

How long will delivery take?

It depends on the piece. Anything already in our warehouse is dispatched the same day, with same-day delivery across Delhi NCR and tracked delivery to the rest of India. Pieces we source to order are dispatched within 3 to 7 days, and if a sourced order isn't delivered within 15 days, you're covered by our money-back guarantee. The delivery line on each product page shows which applies.

Can I track my order?

Yes. The moment your order ships, we send a tracking link by email and SMS so you can follow it all the way to your door.

Can I change or cancel my order?

You can cancel free of charge any time before your order ships. Message us as soon as you can and we'll catch it before it's packed. Once it has shipped, the simplest route is our 15-day return, still at no cost to you.

Do you offer Cash on Delivery?

Yes. COD is available across most serviceable pin codes in India. Just choose it at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

For now we ship within India only. When that changes, the house list will be the first to know.
