Black Saffron is the Byredo with the strongest Indian thread. Saffron is considered the most auspicious colour in India, worn by monks and sages as a symbol of abstinence, and it has always been part of founder Ben Gorham's Indian upbringing — in smell, taste and colour. The fragrance is built on that idea of unity and inclusion.

It opens on juniper berries, pomelo and saffron, moves through black violet, crystal rose and a leather accord, and finishes on blonde woods, raspberry and vetiver. Spicy, leathery and slightly fruity — the most complex thing in the core range.

Best in cooler weather and evenings, and a natural fit for Indian occasion wear. Genderless by design, like everything Byredo makes.

How long will delivery take?

It depends on the piece. Anything already in our warehouse is dispatched the same day, with same-day delivery across Delhi NCR and tracked delivery to the rest of India. Pieces we source to order are dispatched within 3 to 7 days, and if a sourced order isn't delivered within 15 days, you're covered by our money-back guarantee. Can I track my order?

Yes. The moment your order ships, we send a tracking link by email and SMS so you can follow it all the way to your door.

Can I change or cancel my order?

You can cancel free of charge any time before your order ships. Message us as soon as you can and we'll catch it before it's packed. Once it has shipped, the simplest route is our 15-day return, still at no cost to you.
