Dolce & Gabbana The One for Men Eau de Parfum is the denser, sweeter version of the modern classic, released in 2015. It keeps the same recognisable structure, bright grapefruit, coriander and basil leading into warm cardamom, ginger and orange blossom, then adds more weight and warmth to the tobacco, amber and cedar base. The result is richer, boozier and longer-lasting than the original.

This is an evening and cool-weather fragrance: dinners, dates and winter nights. The extra depth of the Eau de Parfum makes it the better choice when you want more warmth and staying power, and it is at its best in cooler air and air-conditioned rooms rather than peak summer heat.

How is this different from the Eau de Toilette?

The Eau de Parfum is richer, sweeter and warmer, with more tobacco and amber and better longevity, while the Eau de Toilette is sharper and fresher up top. Most people find the Eau de Parfum the more satisfying of the two for evenings; the trade-off is that it leans sweeter. Performance is improved over the EDT but still moderate rather than beast-mode.
