Dunhill Signature Collection Indian Sandalwood is a quiet, well-made woody fragrance built entirely around sandalwood, released in 2019 under perfumer Carlos Benaim. The opening is unusual — carrot seed and bergamot, earthy and crisp rather than citrus-bright — before orris and green tree moss soften the middle. The base is where it lives: creamy Indian sandalwood with patchouli and cypriol, the smoky root Indians know as nagarmotha.

This is an intimate scent, not a projector. It sits close to the skin and reads as calm and refined rather than attention-seeking, which makes it a genuine office and daytime fragrance and a good year-round option in Indian weather. If you have grown up around real sandalwood, this will smell familiar and honest rather than synthetic. What it will not do is fill a room — that is the trade-off, and it is deliberate.
